Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh & Penn State Greater Allegheny
The BFLDI is a program that brings African American young ladies in grades nine through twelve or ages 13 to 17 together to participate in a two year institute increasing their educational and leadership opportunities. Students will improve on practical skills such as networking, teamwork, leadership, and the like in order to have an impact on local, national, and global communities. BFLDI, co-sponsored by Penn State University, is a multi-faceted program that encapsulates dynamic workshops, student discussion groups (sister circles), and a residential training at Penn State Greater Allegheny Campus.
We are now accepting applications until May 12th and students in grades 9-12 are welcome to apply.
