Requirements: The following must be met for eligibility:
1.) High School Senior who has participated in at least 1 JA program within the last 4 years.
2.) Must have a minimum final GPA of 3.0
3.) Provide 1 Teacher recommendation
4.) Must provide verification of JA program participation from school or JA coordinator
5.) Provide a copy of high school transcripts or most recent report card
6.) Majoring in education at an accredited college or university.
7.) Complete the typed 250-300 word essay answering the question: Why have you chosen Education as your career, and how has participating in JA programs as a student influenced your decision to teach?

No applications will be accepted after the deadline. These awards will be presented at the JAWPA
Annual Meeting held in Pittsburgh on June 23rd, 2016. Winners will be notified in May 2016, at least
one month prior to the presentation. Students who are offered scholarships will be Required to
attend this important event, and act as presenters throughout the evening.
Winners that are unable to attend will forfeit the scholarship.
