As designed, the Bridges to Health Care Careers Program will provide high school students (10th, 11th, and 12th grade) with health care career options along with information on how to pursue such a career after high school. The goal is to build a pipeline from high school to the workplace and/or college/allied health school and to provide potential candidates for UPMC employment.
Throughout the school year, students will follow a schedule of events that will require them to commute to the Pittsburgh area to attend planned activities/events. To kickoff this program, we will be hosting a summit on February 15th to outline the program and to provide the students with an opportunity to talk to college recruiters and/or various UPMC departments
