Your child’s high school education is nearing completion. For many students, higher education is the next step of their journey. But with the stresses of the college application process and trying to figure out financial aid, you and your student are most likely beginning to feel a little overwhelmed.
Fortunately, help is available. We will be hosting a free Financial Aid Night for students and families on Thursday, November 29th. Financial Aid is available to all families and to students attending community college, technical schools and colleges or a university.
Participants will learn how to apply for all types of financial aid, including completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required to determine eligibility for most student aid programs
In addition, we will host a COMPLETION Workshop after the information session. This is a perfect time to complete the FAFSA and application for state funding with the help of knowledge professionals to answer any questions. There are steps involved in making that night as successful as it can be. To prepare for the COMPLETION workshop, visit https://www.bwschools.net/baldwin-high-school to see what steps to take and what information to bring that evening.
This is evening is for you. You can come to one or both of the sessions. We will begin at 6pm Informational Session 7pm Completion Workshop in the LGI-1 Room located on the third floor above the pool at the high school. The completion portion of the evening will take place in the library. We will have signs and students to help guide you.
Please note, if you are a parent of a junior, we want to open the night for you for information. You are not eligible to complete the financial aid process until October 1st of your child's senior year.
