DISTRICT ANNOUNCES FULL SLATE OF HONOREES FOR THE 2017 GALA!!
The Baldwin-Whitehall School District in partnership with the Baldwin-Whitehall Educational Foundation continues to celebrate the moments, milestones, and memories that comprise our District’s rich history. Just as the 75th Anniversary Gala and many of our reflections over the past two years celebrated the past success of the District, there are many people who contribute tirelessly to the present-day student experience, making our schools a memorable, exceptional place to live, learn, and prepare for the future.
The Gala is an opportunity to recognize distinguished alumni, faculty, staff, and other contributors. This year we will be honoring individuals for the following awards:
Distinguished Highlander Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees:
We hope you'll join us on Saturday, March 11th, to help us congratulate these individuals and enjoy an evening created to celebrate the entire District family as we create scholarships and innovation grants to fuel your ideas and your students to the achievements that will undoubtedly become the future chapters of our District’s history.
Randal A. Lutz, Ed.D.

MD Camp, sponsored by the Area Health Education Center at
The Ohio State University,
is looking for applications for their 2017 MD Summer Camp cohort.
MD Camp is a three-week intensive residential summer camp designed to inspire and motivate students interested in pursuing a career in the health professions, including biomedical research. It is a great opportunity for rising juniors, seniors and newly graduated high school students (prior to university matriculation) who might benefit from the intellectual challenge, academic and social development, and experience that it provides.
Ultimately, MD Camp strives to increase the number of physicians from backgrounds or areas that are underrepresented in medicine; to that end, we typically accept students from socio-economic and/or educationally disadvantaged backgrounds, though we encourage all to apply. Housing is available (with an additional cost) to participants who live outside of a 30 mile radius from Columbus.
You will find a flyer attached with more information, as well as our application--we would greatly appreciate it if you would forward these materials to any interested students. We also have printed brochures available, upon request.
Place: OSU College of Medicine, 370 West Ninth Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210
Dates: June 12, 2017 - June 30, 2017
Time: Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Cost: $700.00, with an additional cost for housing. Many scholarships are available based on need and academic merit.
