EMPOWER2019 Comprehensive Leadership Program (current 9th – 12th grade students; June 11, 13, 17–27 and July 1, 2) **Students who complete this 13-day program receive 2 college credits! Through a series of interactive, real-life experiences and professional exposure, students will have the opportunity to learn and practice their social, professional, and interpersonal skills. Attendees will realize their leadership potential, step outside of their comfort zone and step into their growth zone.
EMPOWER2019 Emerging Leadership Program (current 9th – 12th grade students; June 17 – 21) This is a “lighter” version of the Comprehensive program for students who may not be ready for a fuller commitment. Includes four modified Dale Carnegie Training™ sessions, motivational speakers and business professional conversations/seminars, interactive classroom activities and social networking sessions.
Blossom and Flourish Leadership Program – (current 6th – 8th grade students; July 8 – 12) A leadership training and confidence building program for middle school girls. Topics covered include: healthy friendships and relationships, self-identity, goal setting, time-management, values, difficult decisions, and more.
Future Filmmakers Academy (current 6th – 8th grade students; July 8 – 12) This one-week summer camp will introduce students to the skills of camera framing, sound recording, set lightening, chroma keying and other elements of digital video production. Students will take on various roles both behind the scenes and on-camera as they team together to produce four videos for the Swift Fox Media YouTube channel.
CSI Summer Seminar (current 7th & 8th grade students; July 9 – 11) Participants will be introduced to career pathways in the field of forensic science by exploring the various disciplines associated with forensic investigations. Students will employ problem-solving skills, engage in hands-on learning activities, identify and analyze crime scene evidence, and report findings to their peers.
Theater Arts Camp (current 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students; August 5 - 7) This 3-day intensive workshop will introduce students to the various disciplines associated with musical theater stage production. Students will learn strategies for auditioning, improved vocal technique, improvisation skills and stronger character development. An introduction to the elements of musical theater including costume, lighting, and set design will be covered.
